Hello- I am looking to build a website and take orders through PayPal. I want to build the webite myself. I have built one before using Geocites but it was for my class room and beside putting up info the only other requirements were and e-mail link and a small message board for the kids.

On this website I want people to be able to pay for my product via PayPal. I already spoke with them. Now when they register I want their info to be stored for me so I can contact them in the future. Contact info meaning e-mail address, phone # and home address and name.

What should I use that will give me templates to build but also allow me to import my own graphics. I also need something that is not going to break the bank.

I also want my website to pop-up quickly when people do a search. I do not want it to be 5 pages into a search. How do I do that????

Any info would be appreciated.

What does "Break the Bank" mean?

$150?
$1500?

$4000? I assume that busts the piggy wide open...

I am working on decisions on a site, and budget is a huge consideration.

You can likely get a college kid to put together a decent WordPress.org (Not WP.com) site for you for a few hundred bucks.
On WP you control all graphics and other content. And get them to fix you up with a PayPal checkout.

WordPress.org is very search friendly. Better than a templated site.

I agree - Wordpress.org. You can use your own domain name ( with WP.com you use a wordpress sub-domain name).

Also, they have shopperpress.com which is a WP storefront shopping cart that runs on the WP platform. It's $79. And it does support PayPal.

I have a WP.org blog and I like it a lot, it is already optimized for SEO and I started receiving good hits within a couple weeks. I have not tried shopperpress yet, but it's on my ToDo list.

Didn't know about the storefront, but we don't use PayPal to sell houses much...

Hahaha! Yeah, all you need is a PP chargeback on a $400K transaction!
