About how many hours a day do you spend on the Internet for *non-work* purposes?

Ten hours, when I put down two hours OT for the day. I need a new bass boat.

Does watching TV on my slingbox at work all day count as non work related?

Hard to say, because when I am at work I am on the Internet too, and I check it on and off all day long. With OT I would say...6-8 hrs; during the weekend when I am in town probably more, but mostly at night.

Depends on the day. Before I met my wife (on Yahoo, heh) I used to spend *many* hours on USENET and other online forums. Maybe 4-6 hours a day, or even longer. That was back in the mid 90's, though.

Now, I generally have a laptop up and am chatting with friends for much of the evening while I'm home (and chatting with my wife IRL), and she's doing the same quite often. So maybe between 2 and 6 hours a day while at home.

At work I usually burn a half-hour or so on net stuff, mostly during lunch, or when I get stuck and need my brain to thaw out for a bit.

Let's say 4.5 hours/day. Less on weekends.

If Netflix counts, then make it 10. :-)

Too many to be helpful probably. A good 4-5 hours a day I would say but very possibly more. On the weekend, it could easily be 8-10. I am probably lowballing even with these numbers.

Since we (my wife & I) are both retired we spend about 10>12 hrs almost every day messing with the net in one fashion or the other.
