How many posters here have actually seen the Aurora?

I saw it just once, in Wisconsin, which was fairly vivid, not in color though. Like a sheer curtain being wafted by the wind, continuously moving.

Seems like a waste of bandwidth to me. I think you have to be there in person to fully appreciate the beauty of the northern lights. It would be like beaming the Grand Canyon over the internet. One 2D window on your screen does not do it justice.

I saw them twice in my lifetime so far and both times in the states. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Absolute awe.
