Oh ye gods.... more conspiracy crap...... Someone else just opened basically the same thread:

News, Get Ready for the Two-Speed Internet.

Didn't you like the responses from your last post concerning this topic?

If you love the internet it's time to get involved in keep'n it.

Give it a break, stop with the knee jerk reactions to rag articles.. Understand these "experts" can be really off the mark....

All these "computer experts" over the years have made predictions and all were wrong, ain't gonna get worked up over more stuff I can't do a thing about...

~ The portable computer is a dream machine that only millionaires can afford
~ The "Y2k Disaster"
~ The Internet will collapse (1996 by Bob Metcalfe)
~ There will be no more IPV4 addresses (2003)
~ Desktops will be extinct by 2004 or thereabouts
~ VoIP will never work, not enough bandwidth

Funny, wasn't Wired (Bruce Sterling) the one who predicted awhile back that because of the Internet US Army troops would never again have to put foot on foreign soil? They would just plug in?

etc etc etc etc

Let me ask a question of the OP....

- Have you written your local politician?
- Your Congressman?
- Your Senator?

BTW, have you figured out what BitTorrent is yet?

How does the most recent FCC ruling effect end users like me..Currently i don't stream much video but that may change down the road. I'm curios to hear from some people in the know about this stuff and what it really means for the average net
user. Higher cable bills??
