I saw a site online that stated that more than 85 percent of the MILLIONS of emails that are sent out are spam.

So, here is my question.... Has anyone here EVER clicked on a spam email? If no one is clicking on the spam, and no one is buying the spam, then why do people keep sending, and sending and sending and sending it????

Of course they do, there are still people out there that just don't get it and will open anything that shows up in their inbox.

Ever buy one of those dumb get rich quick books or health books advertised on TV? Most people don't but someone is because advertising on TV isn't cheap. There's a sucker born every minute.

People are desperate, and that makes them stupid, and they do believe that there is a possibility they are related to a Nigerian prince that was killed in a plane crash. The thoughts of inheriting millions makes them stupid.

The also probably pay the "I'm bad at math tax" on a routine basis.

I once counted the books on the shelf in a Borders bookstore that had titles implying that their advice would make you a millionaire. The number of books making that promise was larger than the number of millionaires in the whole city.

I have often wondered the same thing about Spam. But with a billion people on line, each one living about 20,000 days, that makes 50,000 new users every day, who do not yet know about the lurking dangers. There are people sending money to Nigerians every day.
