Anudder search engine: https://duckduckgo.com/

Google beware: DuckDuckGo partners with Wolfram|Alpha - TNW Industry
Quote:
For the past two years, Weinberg has been using Wolfram|Alpha‘s API, but today officially marks their partnership, a partnership that should very well make Google shudder.
There's more, it comes with goodies:
DuckDuckGoodies
and
DuckDuckGoodies (Tech)

Entering "City Data" into Duck gives 2 (yes, two) results.

Google gives "About 6,160,000"

No brainer, there.

The Goodies pages are a slam dunk, though.

"Make google shudder" lmao! In their dreams.
How many crappy search engines does the world need? I will be surprised if this one is still around 2 years from now.

I think it is exciting; I would not understimate Wolfram. I just added it to Safari.

Gah. I hate Dogpile! A friend of mine has been trying to get me to use it forever. Way to many sponsered ads and they are littered all over the page.

If you are looking for an alternative here's a good one:
Startpage Search Engine

I will check your suggestion out but I do not get any sponsored ads so not sure when and where you are getting those?

Sorry Peregrine, the search engine part was nice and it seemed to yield more relevant results than even Google but I didn't really care for the search engine becoming the middleman by opening the search results linked to the source page (itself).

When I tried Startpage, it did not automatically open anything.
Perhaps I am not understanding the meaning of your words.
