Even after the fiasco of the last couple of weeks, apparently securing data is still a foreign concept to Sony.

Sick. Did Sony think that the hackers were lying when they said they were going to hack them again?

I can tell you SoE has burned tons of people from employees to fans of various games to the point of extreme anger and hatred. There is no shortage of people that don't like them. Hell I'm still pist off over the entire Star Wars Galaxies debacle and that was years and many games ago. In the video game world they are known for slow to no responses to tech issues, blind to what their player base wants, blind to how to manage a game, they lie and mislead alot, they ALWAYS miss dead lines by more then a little it goes on and on. They have so many resources but can't make any of it work IMO. They basically spent the last 10 years pissing off internet gaming nerds, who would have thunk at some point it would come back to haunt them.

speaking as someone who's computer got infected by that horrible root kit that Sony had placed on several of their CDs, all I can say is, bring it on! Obviously, it bites for people whose info may have been stolen (my roommate is likely one of them), but it's hard to say that Sony didn't have this coming
