Comcast--Xfinity?
We now have it. I tried to find out what it is.
I just had to give up.
I am a Dell user--Windows 7--bizarre things have happened--worms, trojans, etc---it was new last August and has gone in twice to be 'fixed'. If i am careful--i can keep it running.
I hope Xfinity is perfected---seems to be doing well, since yesterday.
If I may ask--what is it?

Xfinity is a service provided by Comcast that combines Internet connection, phone service, and cable TV service. It was formerly called Comcast Triple Play.

Download speeds up to 15 Mbps with PowerBoost®

Sounds like Xfinity is a broadband service provider that comes to your home by way of some wired kind of connection rather than a wireless product such as Clear, or a cell phone provision.
That is, from the Xfinity website, it appears you have download speeds up to 15 Mbps rather than a 3G or 4G wireless connection.
Does Xfinity have some sort of cable or wires to your residence?

A problem with your computer shouldn't necessarily be a function of your connection with Xfinity. Proper security for your PC should resolve infection issues. Measures that should be your responsibility to install.

Comcast has cable. As already mentioned it's just another name for their packaging services all rolled up int one. You get cable TV, cable internet and VOIP. There is some other extras like on demand video over the internet.

Yeah, I figured that was the case. I was actually trying lead the OP into resolving his 3G/4G inference to this DSL and resolve his reason for worm/trojan infections.
Thx...

The OP might be confused and be referring to Comcast 2go. It uses the xfinity branding as well.
XFINITY Internet 2go: Mobile Internet from Comcast (http://www.comcast.com/Corporate/Learn/xfinity/wireless-mobile-broadband.html - broken link)

I would suggest you get some flavor of Linux.

the OP is a 'she'. it will take some effort to resolve the confusion.
The Mighty Dell and Windows 7, thank g for the geeks at Office Depot.
i have to be very careful --keep a close eye on MacAfee--and others. 'critical updates'---be certain every defense system is at its best at all times.
sure-i should 'bite the Apple'---that has always been the real answer.
eh--try to deal with life as i do---someone who influences me is certain he/she knows best. overthrow that individual and my life might be better and easier. i am pretty clear about that.
