Hi! We are new in the USA, and need to get TV, Phone and Internet for our new house. What do you guys recommend currently?
Obviously we will make many international calls, need a fast internet, and the kids want all their TV channels (maybe some british ones?)
We have been in contact with Verizon, but it seems quite expensive. Is it the best??
Thanks for any info

Vuvuzela, without telling exactly where you live, are you in a Verizon telco or ATT telco area? Or some other telco. Telco = telephone company. Telephone company areas for land line (home phone service) do NOT overlap.

If Verizon or ATT, Verizon has FiOS (fiber optic) in some areas. ATT has Uverse. If you telco does not have FiOS or Uverse, then your service will be copper pairs. Most WIRELESS companies provide service in most of the US, the service areas usually about the same.

As far as your choice... it really is a choice. Do you want the telephone company or the cable company. Each will provide the TV/phone/internet. You will just have to review your options and decide which satisfies your needs. Opinions seem to indicate fiber optic is the best choice.

Regardless of your choice, your TV isn't likely to have large options for foreign programming, other than BBCAmerica, which I think is usually fairly old programming. You might want to take a look at a Roku and some add on options, such as PlayOn with PlayOn Scripts For about a hundred or so bucks (american, Roku, PlayOn and Scripts included) you can get recent programming from about anywhere on the planet, in some cases live. The PlayOn page will list devices other than the Roku that will provide the same service.

Stand by for input from other posters.

That is going to vary based on where you live, even to the part of town you live in, and if you do actually have a choice it boils down to what you want vs. what they offer and the $$$.

Its pretty much dependent on where you live and what companies offer service in that area. You will find that many cable companies offer BBC america and even BBC on demand and it depends on the package you have often for such programs.
