I need to back up my computer to an external HD. After everything is there I need to set up the back up to back up everything new on a weekly basis. What is the best free software easy to use and fully automatic, that will do the work for me? I am not interested in any internet service, just a back up to my HD.
What are your recommendations??

There is probably something better out there but since noone has posted a suggestion yet, you might take a look at Synctoy a freebie from MS. It is a bit old (may not be updated for Win 7?) but I still use it to copy files/folders. Simple but elegant.

Download details: SyncToy 2.1

Doesn't XP have a backup program that comes with it?

Edit: Yes it does. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308422
