OK, so just today, I received a text message from a female acquaintence. She ended her message with the following:

; ) (y)

I'm not all that keen on what this could mean. I get the wink part. But I'm not so sure about the (y) part. My horny male imagination conjures images of a curvaceous woman with the left leg overlapping the right.

Am I correct? If so, what is the implication? What is that all about?

Help!

: ))

Nope it stands for cleavage. It looks like boobs squished together in cleavage.

Cleavage? Are you sure? (y) doesn't look like cleavage to me.

Be it cleavage or otherwise, what does it imply?

It means she's flirting. And how can you not see that ( Y ) looks like cleavage?people do that all the time.

Educated, articulate and well versed people dont do it at all. Otherwise you end up on the internet asking perfect strangers what the hell it means.

I would flirt back.

Many times I am mystified in RL life by a response, a look, a word. It certainly helps to have some understanding of the person. What would be acceptable or funny from some might be 'unacceptable' from others?

If I were 'well trained' in 'E' communications I might do this.

Did you come here because you thought I asked the question? And if I did you would make another baby making joke?

Flirting? I kinda sensed that but wasn't sure. THis is the first time I've received a text with those characters.

BTW, ( Y ) ≠ (y).

It's easy to see the cleavage in ( Y ). But she did not send ( Y ). She sent (y), which seems more like curves and legs to me.

So Capt. Dan, how would you interpret (y)? What would that mean to you?
