Hi all:

I got a weird offer today from:

Lahore, Punjab, PakistanIP Address:Ptcl Triple Play Project (119.154.75.81) -

..by someone calling himself shawn mike. He offered me $400, payable via Paypal, to put five text links on the lower, center section of several dozen of my pages.

The link he's giving is to a page about Native Americans -- which makes absolutely no sense to me:

The Aztecs/Mexicas

Looks like a link about Native Americans. ??

But the subject of the links is supposed to do with the following:

"Do you want to pass HP0-S26 ?Check out our latest BCCPA material which
give you 100% exam pass guarantee of 640-802. You can also get ccsp
certification and E20-001."

I asked him to send me a block of the html so I could look at it. He said he'd have to write it and would get back to me in a few days.

Is this some attempt to use my computer or pages for some nefarious purpose?

TIA

There's no way in hell I'd even consider it....but since he's writing the code, post it here when he emails you.

I would do that but I emailed them and told them we decided not to go with it--but I'm still unclear about their purpose.

I googled the IP address (119.154.75.81) and got a bunch of hits which mention "Dictionary Attacker" and also an "IP Address Inspector" and mentions law enforcement:

119.154.74.116 | Mail Server | IP Address Inspector | Project Honey Pot

Their writing style does read like someone who's first language is not English.
