Remove the name in a web site
A web site has my name showing up when we do Google search. I contacted them ask them to remove my name and they mentioned they may not be able to remove it. Is this not a privacy concern? What are my options? Anybody can give any information on this? Thanks in advance.
If by "them" you mean you contacted the web site that had a mention of your name, they can remove your name but that won't affect Google's caching of the page in search results. Assuming the site has removed your name from their page(s), here's how you go about requesting that Google scrub it from search results:
What's the problem, exactly? In what context is your name is being used that you're finding objectionable? It's hard to advise you without having at least some basic information. How do you know that it's even *your* name, and not someone with the same name?
Sites such as Spokeo and My Life do this.
There are also Zabasearch and Pipl.
I believe these sites refer to themselves as information aggregators.
I think Spokeo has a feature that allows you to remove your name.
