Used to be good. It has been way too intrusive as of lately, constantly nagging about updates that require a restart and even lying me in the face ("you were protected from 4,5 million serious threats last week so we strongly suggest you choke cash for the full version"). Don't get me wrong i applaud their efforts and am thankful for what has been a good AV over the years but if an alternative came up I would not have second thoughts about switching.

Used AVG free for a long time, but tired of the 'nagging' (though infrequent) and now that MSE has matured I use it exclusively.

I've always used the free Avast with no problems.
