It depends on their privacy settings. There is a setting for "Who can send you Facebook messages?" and the options are "Everyone", "Friends of Friends", or "Friends". If they have it set to "Friends" and you're not on their friend's list, they will not receive your messages.
Go to their page and look in the upper right hand corner. You'll see "message" and "poke". Click on message, type your message, and send. I use it quite a bit.

I would like to know if fb has a link that connects to tinder? Or if they advertise on fb? Or do you have to have the tinder app and then it forces you to connect with fb.
