I have recently launched a website, to be exact I launched it on August 1st. It`s a website with general information, also has a forum. The traffic I`m getting is consistently growing but it is still low. For example the first month we had anywhere from 10-30 organic visits, september 20- 50 organic visits, october form 50-80, and now in november it starts at ar a 100-140 in the last 11 days. So it looks like the number is growing but it is still a small number. My question is is this normal, is that how it always starts, shouldnt i be already in thounds of visitors? I also get some direct trafic and referrals. Altogether this month, everyday I have close to 200 uniques.... What can i do to improve traffic ? THATS my question.
From my experience, participating in traffic exchange networks and social networking sites helps. Being 'stumbled' drives traffic to your site too. Visiting other sites and leaving comments is another way of boosting traffic. Hope this helps!
Offer unique content that people want to find. Add to/update it regularly. Use appropriate keywords and description meta tags, or don't use them at all.
