We changed services because it kept disconnecting, it's still doing it, does this mean that it definitely cannot be anything from the outside? What can be causing internet to keep disconnecting if it's not the service? What about the computer the modem it's connected to? The computer is slow and always freezes.

This is possible. Do you know how to access your modem I.P.?

When I have connection problems, it's usually the modem...
If you know your modem IP, you can directly access that connection/restart it from there by typing it into the address bar.

Sometimes it helps to disconnect/reconnect the wires, or even use a pen to press that restart thingy in the back and hold it for a few until the lights on your modem go red and back to green...restart your computer from there.

You may also want to run the disk cleanup, which is located in Accessories>System Tools.

I don't know, hope that helps.

You cannot diagnose a problem with the internet until you fix the computer.
Chances are a computer that's slow and always freezes has issues that will cause the internet connection to be lost. It can be a virus, or an internal part failure. I'd suggest that you either bite the bullet and take the computer in to a shop to be fixed, or if it's old and not worth fixing, get a new one. If you are not familiar with the procedures, you could make it worse by trying to figure it out yourself.

Well lets see..... you changed service because of disconnects......... and you are still having disconnect problems what could it be

I know it must be the service

How about a little more info........ DSL or Cable?
Router, or connected directly to modem (Oh I hope not)
Computer freezes only when online, or anytime like playing solitaire, or typing a letter?
Anti-virus running?
