Why can't I a picture I was tagged in on Facebook? (download, backup)

So apparently there is a really great picture of me and a friend tagged me in it.
BUT I'm not friends with the guy who actually uploaded the picture so my friend can see the picture on my home page but I can't? WTF is that?

Do I really need to add the other guy as a friend in order to see my own picture. And this makes me nervous... how many other pictures have I been tagged in and everyone else can see but me

You can try this app. Backup Facebook tool - Pick&Zip

I haven't tried it yet but I know others that have and swear by it.

Found a way... Instead of *****ndZip I just viewed my profile as a friend... and selected the friend who tagged me and was able to view the pic and download it.
