Default Ebay sellers in different countries?
How reliable are these? Lots of good smaller items from places like China also with free shipping. Has anyone dealt with them?

I've ordered stuff from all over (China, Korea, USA, France, Germany) for shipment to UK. As long as they have sufficient decent feedback status and indicate that they will ship to your country, you should have no problem.

Agree. Check feedback. Bought a PS3 cpontroller from China for half price.
Got it fast and works great.

Bought something from Hong Kong about 10 years ago with no problem. I've known plenty of people who have done the same since then, also with no problems. Agreed that you should check the feedback, but if it's OK, and the item is cheap, I don't see much risk there.
