My brother went to do his taxes online this week and it suddenly kicked it back to him with a message that said he'd already filed. WTH? Turns out someone stole all his information from a Turbo Tax program from last year and filed in his name which means they have his social and his wife's social security numbers. To add insult to injury he got hit with 3 overdraft charges on his checking account. WTH? This same person transfered all his money out of his checking account. What a mess.

OMG ... I've used Turbo Tax but thank GOD nothing like that ever happened to me. This type of stuff scares me as I usually do my taxes with Turbo or Tax Act ...

He had 5 years worth on there. I went to use my Visa card once and it came back as invalid. I called the credit card company and they had sent my new card to someone in another state and they had activated it a change of address was done online. They didn't use it and nothing else ever happened to me - knock on wood.
freecreditscore.com came in with a whopping 32. statefarm.com scored 41. Statefarm gets only 5 out of 50 on their own site policies. Freecreditscore 0 out of 50, it's like pinning your personal information on a bulletin board. Wow.
