I'm traveling to a location with no internet access for a week and need to get temporary internet access for my laptop. I know that you can rent 3G (and 4G) wireless cards. Where's the best place to rent one from, and is this the best option for a week of internet access?

I don't have experience with them, but it seems that most of them are charging $8 - $10 per day plus shipping for the card.

If you are going to possibly ever want to use it again, you could always just go to someplace like Walmart and get a prepaid one for $50 or $60, and get a $20 card for airtime.

It would probably be about the same as renting, and if you need it again in the future you just need to buy some more airtime.

You'd first have to find out who has 4G (3G is 2 steps above dialup and a few steps below DSL) coverage for that area and then google those companies for rentals. Or you could upgrade your cellphone to one that has a built-in hotspot and not worry about it.
