Advertisements

For once, rather than racking my brain to find the answer to my problem I thought I'd try asking you folks.

I view weekly store ads each week. Never had any problems.

Now, if I try to view the ads, the screen is all grayed and I cannot proceed to lok at the ads.
It's grayed but I can see through the gray and read what is there.

On one website there is a place for me to click to view the ad in html. When I do that, the ad appears and works fine. Trouble is, not all the store websites offer to view in html.

Where do I go in Control Panel or otherwise to set my defaults to once again view the ads without having to do the html thing? ....Windows XP

Thanks, gang!

Well, since you asked that I went and checked out how it goes with the Avant browser and it works fine with that.....it doesn't work when I use Firefox 16.0.1. I even checked old AOL and it doesn't work with that either.
Thanks for the reply!

Post the web site and tell me exactly what I'll be looking for.

I am running FF 16.0.1 on both Mac and Windows...

I have no problems viewing them...

General Q&A

Q: Is there an HTML version of the weekly ad available?
Q: When do the new weekly ads post to the Publix.com Web site?
Q: How can I sign up to receive e-mail notifications when a new ad is published for my store?
Q: How can I change the e-mail address where my weekly ad alert is being sent?
Q: How can I change which store's weekly ad alert I receive?
Q: Is there a version of the weekly ad that I can use with my screen reader software?
Q: How can I clear all the items in my shopping list?
Q: How can I increase the size of the ad, including the font size?

Troubleshooting Q&A

Q: Why won't the weekly ad load in my Web browser?
The Publix weekly ad platform is certified to work as designed on Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE) 6.0 or higher, and Firefox 3.0 or higher; while it will likely work on most versions of the Safari browser, there are known problems reported when trying to use an AOL browser. If you are using either AOL or Safari, please try one of the certified browsers.

If you are using a certified browser and cannot get the weekly ad to fully load in your Web browser, the issue is most likely with the Web browser cookie used to store your preferred store and shopping list items. To resolve the problem, please delete your cookies and try visiting the weekly ad again; if your cookie is reset, you should be prompted to enter a zip code or address to begin the store selection process.

The FF Shockwave Flash plugin I have installed is version is 11.4 R402, last update 10.8.2012

I have no trouble seeing them, using Firefox 13.0.1, which I had to go back to because the new Firefox was not compatible with Adobe Flash. Now I refuse to upgrade Flash until there is a site that fails to open, because of the Firefox/Java compatibility issues.
