It's apparently not sporting to have secure emails that the government cannot easily access.
Shucks. Who knew?

The government is a group of very stupid people- They can read what ever instructions we give them- You over estimate their capacity for original thought- Every last person who uses digital should think of themselves as advisers - This is an opportunity for the PEOPLE to rule---Just don't scare them...they are a delicate insecure bunch.

I read that last night, said it was a court order so I'm not sure how they are defying it. How is that even possible without getting arrested? If they were asking for just Snowden's correspondence I don't see the issue however I'm guessing there is wall between the site owners and the clients and such a request may not be as simple as handing them just Snowden's data.

From the article...

“This experience has taught me one very important lesson: without Congressional action or a strong judicial precedent, I would strongly recommend against anyone trusting their private data to a company with physical ties to the United States,” he added.

I applaud the companies. Those are tough decisions to shut down a major part of their business.

The only companies left will be the compliant companies - until the people decide they want real change.
