IE for compatibility
FF and Chrome because Ad Block Plus didn't work with IE but now IE has ABP
Chrome because it integrates with Android/Google Play type things
I'm still using Firefox, because I'm used to it. Ever since IE locked out all us old luddite fogeys who still had a 2-year old computer with Vista. The new IE doesn't work with Vista and won't even download, and sites keep warning me that my browser is outdated, and I have to keep Xing out the warning. and it won't keep me logged in to anything. Chrome requires an extra click or two on try-to-guess-the-icon to get to things like History and Bookmarks, and I haven't warmed up to that inconvenience.
Firefox because it's much better at ad management. There is way too much crapware on the net these days to even fathom allowing ads at all in the browser... I tried briefly. Chrome's ad blocking is not adequate. I did manage to update my firefox bookmarks to make them compatible with chrome's lack of a sidebar though and overall I enjoy that change I made. They are all spread out in folders in the bookmarks toolbar.
I do use chrome for the tablet because it's fast while remaining functional.
I always used FF until my computer guy told me that Chrome was safer. So it's Chrome but it doesn't work that well on CD. Maybe I shouldn't have believed my computer guy since so many people are still happy with FF.
(I miss Netscape Navigator too.)
