I always liked and preferred using a Metasearch site instead.

None of them are good, they both track your habits and store your personal info and yahoo too.

The best one for now, that doesn't do any tracking or storing your personal info is a search engine called : www.duckduckgo.com

There are about 14 non-tracking search engines that I'm aware of and there's probably more as well that do not store your searches either, duckduckgo is only one of them.

So, you guys are saying, I should duck when I see Bing, duck when I see Google and go with: DuckDuckGo instead?

That explains the goofy name!

I never thought of it that way, lol. It's possible that's what they meant, in spite of the child-like name for the search. I'm just happy they thumb their nose at the alphabet agencies!

Mostly I don't care, but if I want to post a picture from the web to a CD post I have to use Google because Bing shortcuts don't work. I also find that the search results I really want are closer to the top with Google.

Bing also blocks a lot of searches as inappropriate that I don't see anything questionable about (can't think of an example right off the bat, though).

Back in the day I really liked Infoseek, but it was bought out by ABC/Disney and went all to Hell.
