Advertisements

A few years ago I ran across these ads that claimed to pay people for successfully bringing traffic to their websites through blogging. Do people really get paid for blogging? If so, how could I get started? I feel like writing again, but I just haven't had a lot of time or motivation.

I'm also interested in learning about writing and publishing e-books.

I would suspect if you're blogging for a third party you aren't going to get paid much. You can do it yourself on your own site and get a Google adsense account. The trick is attracting enough people.

Google Adsense? What is that, and how does it work? What's the difference between it and blogger?

With a good idea and a camera, you can make some good money on YouTube!

That would be video blogging of course - which may or may not be your thing

You should pay for that, though.

I know video blogging is fun at least, but I just wanted to get back into writing. I haven't worked up enough nerve to start making and posting videos. I doubt I even have the personality for that.

Years ago I had a blog related to my job, and AdSense paid enough to buy my groceries once in a while. I didn't try very hard and had a small audience, but it can be done. I think videos are a good way to go.
