You have to sign up for a Bing Rewards program and MS will give you 100GB of One Drive cloud space free for 2 years.
You can sign up for the rewards program and not actually use it to just get the space.

Microsoft giving away 100GB of OneDrive storage if you join Bing Rewards | The Verge

Bing Rewards...gotta' love it. MS has to "pay" people to get them to use Bing.

Personally, I don't sign up for Cloud Space that has a time limit...

Wow, I can't believe they are actually offering that much space for free. I store mine locally and on one of my websites I have set up as my personal cloud storage. One reason I set up one of my own websites as a personal cloud storage was because I needed a lot of storage space (as a 2nd storage location) and getting the amount of storage I was wanting was going to cost way more than just setting up my own cloud website which isn't expensive at all.

I guess Microsoft really wants to get Bing a bigger piece of the search pie.

Thanks for the heads up.

Good for them. Dropbox runs similar limited time free space offers. They're hoping you'll sign up for a paid plan at the end.

Yeah, I have seen the Dropbox offers. I get offers in emails from them and I have seen several ads around the internet. The biggest I have seen Dropbox offer was 50 which is probably why Bing/Microsoft are offering 100, just to say they offer double.

They are hoping you will upload a lot of files, pics, etc. so that after the 2 years is up you will have to continue to pay for the upgraded service. The usual free plan is 15GB so if you had more than that you wouldn't be able to downgrade after the free trial is up without removing some things.
