So what's the problem OP?
I agree. It took 5 minutes or so to get used to the changes, but I quickly realized how much improved the user experience was. Everything is so much faster and easier to use. But it does take some hunting around the first time using it.

Go down to the bottom of the Google Maps page, and click the ?. Then select "Go back to classic google maps". When you get there, bookmark that page. Going to that bookmark will then always default to the old-style maps that you can actually use and navigate.

I just noticed that Google Maps is now displaying a warning notice that "soon", it will no longer be possible to revert back to "classic" version of the site, and everybody will then be locked into the new whiz-bang "experience" created by their teen-aged designers.. But users will be able to choose a "lite" version, which promises to cut through some of the crap.

I found the Science & Technology forum so I could come here just to complain about the new Google Maps. I keep having to "convert back to old Google Maps" but the other day I saw that the old Google maps will be incorporating new changes...
