I want to create another yahoo email account but every time I do I get "there are too many accounts associated with this number". I want to create a more professional account name but this message still pops up whenever I do. I have deleted a few of my older account emails but I still get this message popping up every now and then. Is there any way around this to make another yahoo email?

Assuming this number is referring to your mobile/copper wire phone (thanks for being so descriptive, not all of us use or are familiar with yahoo mail)...

Why not just give them a bogus number?

Because it needs an activation code to unlock your account. I've tried this some times and they sometimes do not allow numbers that do not exist.

So what you are saying is if you don't have a phone of some type you can't get yahoo email?

I never use a phone for activation . Can't you just use another email account? Establish one that isn't on Yahoo.

No matter what you do, an @yahoo.com email address isn't going to look professional. And considering their abysmal history of keeping their customers accounts secure you would be better off with a different service.

My employer has told us to not use Yahoo for personal use because of the security issues. My IT department recommends Gmail for personal accounts.

Delete/deactivate one or more of the other email accounts at yahoo or use a different number for whatever number you are talking about.
