i got my email address when I set up email for the first time in about 1990. it is gender neutral (privacy related concerns with that), is the name of a sport that I partipate in, is professional enough that I have used it in my career. It doesnt have any difficult to remember letter/number combinations. It is on a free service. It is the only email address I have ever used - no plans to change it.

i think it pays to be careful when choosing an email address!

There was no such thing as email or the Internet when I was a kid.

Ahh the millennial generation...

If I remember right my first email address was NoSpam@screwyou.com

I remember when mail (not email) had two or three deliveries a day - in a rural Vt town.

When I was in high school, the xXSoMeThInGdEpReSsInGXx AOL screen names were the new rage. So cringeworthy!

When I was a kid, Mr. T was in his prime, the Duke boys were jumping cliffs, and Indiana Jones was brand new. There was no public internet back then.

Now, when I started in my first year of college, we had limited internet access. Mostly, in the LRC. I didn't even get my first email address until about 1994 or 95. The username had more to do with one of my favorite music bands at the time. I kept that email address until about 2000, 2001ish...switched to an email address that had my name in it. I can't remember if I abandoned that email address altogether or what happened, but I can no longer access it. I will admit that I wouldn't mind being able to access it for nostalgic reasons, although I'm sure I won't have emails from the mid 90's in it.
