I have a yahoo e-mail account that has a certain phone number *attached* to it, for Justin Case ...

That phone number is no longer available, so here my question:
How do I change that phone number ?

I checked on my e-mail account under *settings* etc, but could not find out how to do that.
I also tried to send a *help please* message to Yahoo, but I have not figured out how ?
There are catagories that could provide help, but none about phone number change.

Anybody here can steer me the right direction ??

TIA

On the Yahoo Email page, there's a little gear like icon in the upper right corner. Click on that and you'll see another menu. Go to account info and poke around. I just did it and found a page the listed my phone number. I think you can change it from there.

Next to the gear is your name, hover the mouse over your name, click Account Info, then Click Account Security on the Left, then click phone number in the middle of the page.

Uhuh found that before, but it only allows a mobile number, not a land line ...

No mobile number available ...

But ... I did find a way to get the old mobile phone number deleted.

Add another phone number, land line, and it tells you, *not right* but it does list.
Then check it again, and then you can delete the original mobile number.
The landline now has a warning on it but who cares ? ...

Thanks for the suggestions.

There is a reason they only allow a mobile number. Their automated system sends a message mobile phone. Are you hoping to call yahoo Just in Case and give them your phone number as identification?

No that was not *it*.

The mail account *did* have a mobile number for Justin Case.
Now that mobile number is not available anymore, so either no phone number or a land line.

I just added a land line number, and got a notice --- NOT valid.
OK, so what.
Then I just deleted the mobile number.
So far so good ...
