Overall the Days after Christmas is a very busy time for internet traffic, The amount of data moving across the internet is HUGE, that in itself can cause latency.

My nephew got a PS4 he downloaded Hundreds of GB of games, And started to play...

All the Video Streaming going on as Kids were out of school, People on Vacation, off for holidays.

If you haven't figured it out yet, see if your router has a logging and reporting feature and turn it on. It's a pain to go through all the traffic in the reports, but it can give you an indication if there's something going on and what internal IP it's coming from. I would also identify all of your devices connected by MAC address and set up static IPs for each device and then turn off dynamic assignment.

I'd also run virus/malware scans on all of your devices just to see if something is infected.

Thanks!

Too tech-y for me. :-)

But, since the password was changed, no more problems that I am aware of.
