For purposes of helping to avoid the appearance of duplicate content on a WordPress website (from search engines point of view), how do you make the recent posts on the blog home page just snippets with the Permalink to the entire article?

The old fashioned way would be to post the entire article on a page, and only put a snippet on the home page posts. I don't think that's what you're asking though? I think you mean where only part shows up until you click "more" and then the rest appears right there. Am I right? I wouldn't mind learning that myself.

There's something called rel="noindex" if you want to make a WP post or page invisible, I heard. You should follow @RustyBrick because he seems to know all the nuances of duplicate content, redirects, Google Panda, etc. His name is Barry.

I love using the "more" thing. I regard it as me having mercy on my website visitors, otherwise they'd see a wall of text. And it's a wall of text I wrote. I need to work on my brevity

You're welcome. Re: your original post, I bet there's a WP plug-in for doing the "just the snippets" thing, saving you time.
