Peregrine --- yes, that how it was until last year or so when it looked like what's in the link that Skunk Workz provided.

Oh yahoo I'm not totally crazy imagining it :-)

Apparently I had that bar much longer than I should have! Although I don't automatically update/upgrade anything (I do it manually as needed), guessing something was updated/upgraded while I was 'net surfing.

The last stable release was on 12 January 2016; maybe then they did some changes. I don't know. I don't use IE. I am using Chrome.

I truly thank everyone. Changes to how things work and look come with the territory with anything computer/internet related. My concern was more about some gremlin or other nasty that might have snuck in, but apparently it's more about my computer staying up with the times. Again, thank you!

when I lose my icon tool bar I go into my favorites where everything is stored and hit tool bar and it goes back to all my favorite icons on my top tool bar. hope this helps
