maybe Im just too old but someone has to explain vlogs(videologs) to me, I spend a great deal of time on youtube and come across a few vlogs. In a nutshell they are uninteresting people doing uninteresting things,ie the vlogger and his friends in a 15 minute car ride to the nearest dairy queen , a 30 minute walk up and down the isles at the local walmart , a day at the zoo but the camera is always on the vlogger, the zoo is in the background and is rarely even mentioned. its usually teens and 20 something yo.boring as hell but these videos have over 100k views and tens of thousands of subscribers!!! In some cases its because the vlogger is cute , just look at the comments, 99 percent of them have the phrase 'youre so cute' , so they have tapped into that crazy teen/preteen girl market.but the others I just dont get.and the fans they have are unreal, there is always one video of them opening boxes and boxes of gifts from all over the world!!

Facebook is part of the reason. A lot of those were posted there but hosted by YouTube.

A "vlog" log is just a blog that uses video. No different. and just like blogs, they are about...anything and everything. You're not old.
