Anyone have suggestions for a short-term wireless internet service provider (WISP)? - I would need it to go into rural areas when traveling in the southeastern U.S. I know that Clear is no more. My mobile plan has very limited data.

Is there such a thing as buying a wireless device to use with T-Mobile's network or some other provider? I'd probably only need the service for about 2 or 3 months or so. I would guess I would use it about once or twice a week tops.

I looked into NetZero's wireless service. I then read their reviews and there was mostly very negative feedback.

I use T-Mobile [using it now] Since you'll use it only a few times a month [and don't use it for watching video, you can get month to month, 3 gigs for $30 You can use a jet 2 or rocket 3 USB stick if you can find one on E-bay. T-Mobile now uses a recharge battery hot spot for LTE service.
Take a look at freedompop. They might have something you can use.

Thanks, I will check out FreedomPop and T-Mobile for more details. I've not heard of FreedomPop.
