The "upgraded" Outlook.com has been troublesome from day one. However, now it won't send my emails. Last night, I sent two emails. Both hung up in my "Draft" folder. I can open them and hit send again, but they still remain there. Sometimes, though not always, I get an error message that pops up (with a loud chime) telling me that the message cannot be sent.

This morning, I opened up Outlook and saw that one of the messages finally went through (to my "Sent Items"), but the other was still in "Drafts". I sent another test message, and it, too, hung up in "Drafts".

Email isn't a whole lot of good if I can't send a message. Has anyone else had this issue?

It is obviously on Microsoft's end, because it doesn't matter whether I open it in Firefox (46.0.1) or IE (11.0.9600.18314). I've also tried it on a separate computer, one using IE (9.0.8112.16421) and when I try to send on it, it tells me that "You don't have permission to perform this action"!!!!!

What is going on?

I've had numerous issues with Outlook Mail's website, it's a piece of crap. Can you even find support to contact them? I tried...
I haven't had this problem you're having, but I did have it on my Charter accounts while at work, which was a big reason I had to create an outlook account. Can you try sending both on and off wifi?

I use live mail 2012 with win 7 but I received notice from MS that on July 1, they will no longer support it. I can get live mail 2016 if I upgrade to win 10 [not going to happen] I can hardly wait to use the web site outlook.com to send/receive mail. Hope I don't have any of the problems I've been reading about.

jimdc58, have you heard about StartMail? [https://www.startmail.com] ? Of course, their main thing is security and encryption, but one can use it without encrypting any email, or just some certain ones, according to whatever are your needs.

Yes, there's that $60 a year cost, but for everything one is getting (and not having to deal with, on the other side), I think it's well worth the $$.

Since finding the StartMail search engine, I very seldom use any of the other engines. I know, I know, this is about Web Mail, but this is another of their products, and my friends who use StartMail, really love it.

I'd encourage you to check it out.

Disclaimer: I have NO affiliation with them. I don't even have their product, because my ISP in California has a their own really great system for mail, which actually lives on my computer, and that's what I prefer. If something happened to the ISP, I'd be at StartMail in a heartbeat.

I feel for you. This exact thing happened to me too, maybe 4 or 5 times (although the Outlook app, on my tablet). It was really frustrating.
