How would it be to their advantage to make Mac users not read google news?

It looks great on Safari on the iPad and iPhone. They just didn't bother making a good desktop design, their eggs are all in the mobile basket.

That's what I read - Mobile Forward design. Their loss though, I (and I suspect many others) have stopped using it, just like a few years back I stopped going to the CNN site. Seems CNN wised up though, in my browser their site looks great, and that's where I'm now going for news.

Google has had a location problem for at least 4 years:
https://productforums.google.com/for...ws/mqMgO3i0c4o

I figured out how to make Google search show the (more or less) correct location by editing Firefox About:Config, but I constantly have to update it with Share Location.

There appears to be no way to correct the Google News location problem, even after 4 years of complaints. I think Google needs to get its priorities in order.

I just got done trying to find the stock market charts. Ugh. I gave up and looked at Yahoo's money section. I know they're somewhere in there but it was too much work. I wish these designers would ask the end users what they want in a website.

google chrome seems to offer some help with our frustration. Open any site. Right click on the address bar. Bottom entry is "edit search engines" click it and see a list of lots of places you never even knew existed, at least I didn't.

If you mean on the main screen, you're right, they did disable zoom. The font is big enough that I don't need to zoom it to read comfortably though. I do frequently use zoom when desktop surfing.

I believe it's this line of code: <meta name="viewport" content="initial-scale=1,minimum-scale=1,maximum-scale=1,user-scalable=no">
