There is one critical thing, if there is any errors about reverse DNS that absolutely needs to be addressed and you would contact the host about that. If that is wrong any email you are sending will get dropped into a black hole for most recipients, it won't even make it to the recipients spam box and you'll get no returned email with any errors.
If the IP is on any blocklists that is another big issue especially if it's popular one.One problem with services like this is they may have hundreds or even thousands of sites on single IP. If one person starts sending spam or has a compromised script sending spam the IP ends up on the list and every customer on that IP is affected. Only your host can deal with that issue.
Lastly if there is any errors about SPF you should try and address that. That usually doesn't prevent delivery but it might end up in the recipients spam box.

Here is some tools for you:
https://winscp.net/eng/download.php - That is an FTP client used to transfer files from your computer to your host. Your host probably has some kind file wizard in the control panel but they suck to put it frankly.
https://notepad-plus-plus.org/ - Thaty's text editor specifically designed for code, you may have limited use for it but you will use it.
If you want to play around with something try Drupal. This is a CMS (content management sytem) used on many sites. You can create some basic pages, blog, whatever. Check the extensions and themes for additional functionality.

Be aware if you install something like this you need to keep up with the updates.
