Is Youtube the only online entity allowing this dishonest post-blocking mechanism? It seems a shoddy, intentionally-misleading practice to me.
From the link below, "My issue is with the way YouTube now handles blocked comments. . . . . The poster is basically lied to, shown that his comment posted normally, when in fact it will never appear to anyone but himself".
In other words, I've personally learned that if you ask a legitimate, reasonable question on some videos, if your question makes the uploader uncomfortable, he puts this flag on it so no one else but you can read it.
When you log out from youtube, none of your questions/comments are there!
It's actually a very effective method, as it prevents trolls from realizing that their messages aren't getting through, so they don't create additional accounts to post with.

Well, that was what it was designed for, but I suspect
the worst of them have already adapted their tactics.
These concerns are what led to IMDb's discontinuing their comments sections.
IMDB/Amazon just didn't want to be bothered with moderating their forums anymore. Not that the company was doing enough moderation to keep the forums from being a cesspool of foolishness and a thorn in the side of the Hollywood studios producing the content people were discussing there.
That falls under the aegis of "Do no evil. Unless it is profitable."
All social media companies are in the business for their own good,
