Question Internet Full of 'Black Holes'

Quote:
You're pounding the keyboard, double-clicking away, sighing and grumbling, but to no avail: That devilish little hourglass icon refuses to give way to the Web site you're trying to reach. Most Internet users have encountered trouble reaching online destinations, but they often attribute the problem to their wireless network cutting out or a server momentarily going down.
And I always thought that I was in the 4th dimension!

Thats quite odd. I'd really like to see that data and if theres any similarities across it.

It stands to reason that just like the time-space continuum, there would be anomalies in a network as complex as the Internet. Millions of pieces of hardware, billions of lines of code and data and the natural affinity for any construct that is mechanical, electrical or electronic to have certain "resonant points" will prove of the existence of "black holes' in the vast network of the Internet.

Im sure there are. All of us have seen a computer, or a piece fail for no good reason... and then start all back up again by itself. As a matter of fact, one just happened in the last hour here at work. We had a connection drop, and while we're monitoring it to see if we can get any information... it came back up.

But, Im not sure thats what they're referring to with black holes, unless they're really not attuned with the network infrastructures. They appear to be referring to the fact that data just gets lost...

Now, the interesting part is if it gets lost and then spits out somewhere else in the internet.
