What are the seller's feedbacks like? I find that some eBay sellers are more professional than others. Some do eBay more seriously and it's a business and important source of income to them. Other eBay sellers treat it more like having an occasional garage or yard sale. They have full time other jobs and don't or can't go the the post office or UPS for shipping until the weekends.

If a seller has low feedbacks, I don't like to pay for an item until I've been able to contact the seller.

I take it one step further. If the seller has a low feedback score, I don't buy from them period. I have both bought/sold (not as a business) and as a seller, I would always contact the seller and provide shipping data right after the package was sent.

Some of the best EBay bargains come from sellers in the 96%-97% feedback range that other buyers don't want to trust.
But I don't risk significant money with them, either...

In that range, I review their negative feedbacks to see if they're valid. If most of them are not, then I'll go ahead and buy.
