Hello all,

I just bought a laptop the other day and when I was at the store deciding on my purchase, I discussed internet options with the sales guy.

He said my options are as follows:

I can have internet installed in my home, which means I can only access internet when I am home. (I am never home, hence the point of getting a laptop, so this option does not work for me.)

I can just get internet when I go somewhere that has free Wi-Fi...i.e. Starbucks, Borders, etc. (I would like internet everywhere and anywhere, so this option is no good either.)

Or, lastly, I can purchase an air card, and service with an internet provider...such as Verizon, which is what I chose. However, I had to sign a 2 year contract (which I was not a fan of doing) and it's $60/month for 2 years...which I guess is decent...but the thing I don't like, I don't have unlimited internet!! I get 5 GB a month, which I guess is a lot, but I shouldn't be freaking limited if I am paying $60/month!!!

I decided on that option, because I felt like it was the only thing that would work for what I need...but I really wish I wasn't locked into a 2 year contract with limited time on the internet...

Any suggestions of other options that I may have? Someone please help!

Thanks so much!!!

Have you asked Verizon if they offer an unlimited plan?

Option 2. Only use the Verizon account when you can't use free wi-fi like Starbucks, etc. That might keep you under the limit.

Free wi-fi: free wi-fi hotspots wifi cafes coffee shops hotels airports RV Parks

Find your city and look around.

Note of caution: Make sure you pop out the Verizon card or you'll be using Verizon to connect to free wi-fi!
