Looks like they've come down a bit (http://go.gethughesnet.com/plans.cfm - broken link). I wonder if such a setup could be shared with neighbors, who could chip in.

Your reply is a little cryptic.

I’d love to be able to get the bandwidth that Verizon’s Fios offers! The TV service doesn’t excite me much as I rarely watch television but the awesome upload and download bandwidth do peak my interest.
