Are you a techno-guru with a dozen computers running 24/7, a single computer household using dial-up, or something in between?

We have a bunch of computers, all connected to the 'net via a linux machine. The internal network setup is actually pretty complex for a home network, but that's the Reader's Digest version.

What's your setup like?

It is my job so I guess I have an excuse, lol.

Wireless gateway/router connected to a 16 port switch. Off of that a dedicated NAS and networked printer then my 4-5 computers (it always changes, lol), 3 game consoles, tivo and my laptop. At least one of those computers is almost always running dedicated to something be it moving archives around, hosting test web sites for clients or the like. Oh and when I moved I bumped everything to Gigabit which doesn't make a difference on the internet side but sure helps moving files around the house/office.

DSL modem connects to router, which has a wired connection to my linux htpc (rockin KDE4 with some sweet plasmoids), and pre-wired to my future kitchen pc (for krecipes and shopping list generation almost exclusively) as well as my incomplete server in the basement (not enough time to finish this puppy lately). Wireless connection upstairs to a bridge, which then locally hits a 16 port switch, which has my windows workstation (work for day job), mac (video and audio), linux audio (the mega DAW - 24bit 96khz maudio delta 1010 with a peavey mediamatrix mic pre (8 channel), and 2 channel tube preamp), linux desktop (KDE4 ftw), and another loose cable to my testing desk.

Both laptops connect wirelessly. Did I mention its just me and my gf? lol
