OK...weird thing is happening on my computer. I'm not too technologically advanced so if anyone knows the answer to my problem, please keep it simple! When doing a google search (I always use google) a list of things pops up. So far no problem....but when I click on the first or second hit of my search, I get a web-site that is current.com or info.com. When I hit the back arrow and click on the same hit again, the proper web-site comes up. Is this some sort of virus?
Sounds like spyware. A good spyware utility should be able to help you diagnose and eliminate this. If you're not already using antivirus software, you should install and run
it regularly, too.
This kind of nonsense is why so many surfers are switching to OSX.
Or Linux.
But with this google thing, I can't help but wonder if there are people trying to get a bit of free advertising in or something, then the next time somebody clicks the same link, he is redirected to the real site. It might be something that even OSX or Linux would see if they clicked the same links.

Did you ever figure out what to do about this, because i have the same problem now.
if I try to search it redirects my googe searches to info.com pages. Usually my google search will work, I am doing this from the toolbar
in i.e. 7, then it will flash up new search results, and they all seem to be
linked somehow to info.com....
It may be something with IE7 .. I upgraded to that and quickly got rid of it because of its toolbar and its odd way of displaying results.
Try an experiment if you can. First, empty your histories and temp files. Then try accessing google by typing it into any other address bar besides the one on the toolbar (if there is one). See if you get different results. If so, the problem may be the toolbar itself.
