Default QtWeb 1.5 web browser

QtWeb - QtWeb Home
Portable QTWeb is a privacy enhanced web browser - Download Squad

Although there are lots of web browsers, I decided to try QtWeb based on Apple's WebKit. On Windows, I have been using Google Chrome (also based on WebKit) lately more than Firefox due to (1) better tabs feature (2) "most often used thumbnail preview page (3) faster (4) separate process for each tab (crash protection).

Unfortunately, both Chrome and QtWeb web browsers are Windows only at the moment but that will undoubtedly change. Overall, Firefox is still a much more complete and functional browser. Even so, I hope Firefox is taking some cues from these new browsers for future versions.

Although QtWeb lacks Google's "preview page" and personally I like Google Chrome's "look and feel" better than QtWeb, QtWeb seems to handle forums (like this post) better than Chrome and it also handles some Windows multimedia better than Chrome.

I look forward to seeing how both Google and QtWeb progress, particularly after they are ported over to Linux.
