I thought i had got lucky and someone was gonna buy my prom dress. But it was odd cuz the person wanted to send the dress to his cousin- John Harison...... in Nigeria. So i got the address from him to check the shipping and the place doesn't exist. WEIRD!!! 10 Karemu Taiwo St., Itire, Ijeshatedo, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria, 23401...... He also offered to pay $100 more than i asked.I am soooo glad i googled craigslist scams and found this forum with your story. Almost the same exact set up. He can go buy a dress somewhere else. I tried telling him his address was wrong and he got demanding and told me to just take it to the post office and it'd cost $80. Yeah, ok. RED FLAG AGAIN. Ain't got time for this crap. LOL Your post/story def saved me a lot of money which i can't afford to lose atm. THANK YOU! the number that contacted me was (703) 382-2144 in case anyone else gets a similar offer. Don't do it! Sell local!

I will be selling a truck on craigslist soon. As always, the ad will state "Cash only, as is where is, no shipping, no delivery." If I get a response that appears to be a scammer, I advise them: "I MUST have the purchaser's name and address to enter in the appropriate spaces on the title. THIS IS STATE LAW! The Notary Public will not notarize my signature to transfer the title if those spaces are not filled in!" And I remind them that the sale is CASH ONLY!
Strangely, I never hear from them again.

I've been receiving the 'your pay pal account has a problem' scam on yahoo spam mail. The thing is that I don't have a pay pal account. When you scan the address, it's not pay pal.

Nothing new, happens all the time with new, one post wonders. Also happens a lot with a certain long time member that likes to use exclamation points, who shall remain nameless.
