You've apparently never experienced how attached senior citizens can get to technology. Their view is quite the opposite of an early adopter.

I'm sorry but paying for a service in August when you know it will be done forever in September makes no sense. Why give them anymore money when they have announced that the service will no longer exist after sept?

It also tells me that lots of people have already been cancelling the service which is probably another reason they made the decision, lost too much money

This company allows webtv units. As long as the receiver has a built in modem & dialup service (all do). I will get the same service except with a different company at half the price. I wish i had known about this yrs ago. We were always told webtv receivers only work with msntv. Thats total BS.

You know the old saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it?" Some of the firmest believers in that saying remember when the saying wasn't old! They like the service the way it is and don't see a need for something newer.

My mother-in-law would be one of those. We moved her off of MSN TV about 2 years ago, after she started to perceive that the service was "broke." she had been on it since the 90s.

Don't see a need for something newer when they know the service is coming to a end? LOL
