Its a relatively new site from what I can tell (site says "beta" on it) but i like its simple format. It reads like a news feed and just posts the days top stories.
That being said, its definitely not for someone looking to read every article out there.
I agree with a previous poster on the Washington Post and the NY Times. Newspapers, as compared to TV or online news, are more reliable, balanced, and well-written. They have editors. But I really worry about the direction even CNN and MSNBC are going, SO much commentary... and online, I have little faith with them either, mostly with the choice of stories they put being the main problem. These people might get a story from AP, which newspapers use too, but the ones they put out there, particularly Yahoo! News, are really shoddy. But I am going to look at a few of the sites here that I have not heard of, altho I generally get along with Huffington Post. GG

I don't bother with American reported news anymore because it's like a broken record, Democrats this, Republicans that, xyz killed in shooting/stabbing, liberals this, Tea Party that, obama's economic recovery, obama's destroying the economy, xyz jobs added, xyz jobs lost....... (and on and on)....
